Our Week

This week was pretty busy and fun-filled - I'm always a happy camper when we find fun things to do during the winter months. It's so hard not to start to get a little depressed when it's below 30 degrees outside every day. I live for taking walks and going to parks and living life outdoors during spring and summer and it's extra hard this winter being cooped up inside now that we have a toddler. I hate keeping her in our stuffy apartment so often when all she wants to do is run free. We only have a few (well, more like 7) weeks until our vacation to Florida so I'm keeping my head up until then!
Spring always comes SO fast after our vacation every year.

This week we spent a lot of time together again since Josh is still on winter break from school.
Viv's heart is going to be broken when her daddy isn't around as much once school starts.
He is her everything.
She lights up whenever he's home and they laugh and play all day.
Next week we're pretty busy so this week we decided to spend one day at the Strong Museum (our local kid's play museum). We went during the summer when Viv was 6 months old but this time was WAY more fun now that she is walking and running!
As soon as we got there she started running and screaming and didn't stop until almost 4 hours later when she was so tired she could no longer walk straight.
I loved that she was able to just run free and not have a care in the world.
She played with other kids and just had the time of her life.
Having a baby who can run and play is so much fun - even though I still can't believe she's old enough to be so mobile.

Another day this week we finally made it to play group at our church!
We went once before quite a few months ago but Viv was too young to enjoy it so I decided to wait until she was bigger to start going.
That was fun but Viv was so shy and quiet that I had to follow her around the whole time.
Usually she is so good about opening up and playing with other kids but she's teething right now so I don't think she was feeling too great.
That same day Josh and I were able to get out together for a little date while Viv hung out with her grandparents. We saw a movie and walked around the mall for a little while but Viv (like I said, was teething) and needed us. She went to bed early that night and had a little fever so I'm glad we got home to get her early.

This morning we decided to skip church and snuggle in bed together.
I made pancakes for breakfast and we just enjoyed a slow morning together.
Once it was time for Viv's naptime I escaped out of the house to do some shopping while Josh stayed with her.
I need to get out of the house by myself every now and again!

So here's a photo dump of our week!

*don't worry - the blender was unplugged*

I hope that you all had a lovely weekend!
Here's to a new week filled with new surprises and adventures!

This Week.

This last week was pretty great!
Josh was home a lot thanks to a quirky work schedule and the fact that he's still on winter break from school.
So that was pretty fabulous.
We got lots of Daddy time - which you know, Viv and I both are crazy about.
We went to a baby shower for a close friend, went to church and lunch, spent one day at my mom's house, went shopping all day one day with our Christmas gift cards (woohoo!), Wednesday I remember being busy but I can't remember what we did. The best day this week was our ultrasound and finding out we are having another sweet baby girl!
We spent a whole lot of time playing and being silly all together and snuggling and taking naps.
There were only a few tantrums and so many laughs and giggle from Viv - it's always a good day when we don't have to deal with any tantrums!
There are some weeks where by the end I feel just so drained and worn out, so I'm thankful for this great one!
Tonight we have a worship night at church which I'm so looking forward to.
After such a great and happy week I can't wait to get energized and renewed for this new week ahead!

Her new smile is hysterical. She only does this specific smile when you say "Smile!" or if you point a camera in her direction. I love it - she's so hysterical .

Viv loves my mom's cat more than any other animal she's ever seen. She chases him around the whole time we're there and he just lets her hug him and pull on him and screams "KEE!". I've been wanting to get a kitten SO bad lately but not having any animals in the house is absolutely wonderful. Now let's just see if I can keep resisting...at least until we move and get settled.

She was scared of this tunnel for weeks after she got it for Christmas but now she loves it!
She is always hiding in there when she gets ahold of something she's not supposed to have or if she wants some privacy to poop. She is so quirky - I just love it.

Oh and this week she's learned how to climb on and off things and there's no stopping her.
The couch, the bed, into the tub, chairs...always.
I can't take my eyes off of her for a second!

Here's hoping next week is just as fun, peaceful, and tantrum-free as this one was!

Our Week

This week was pretty eventful.
Vivienne and I went to a friend's house for a ladies night, went shopping, had my cousin over for the day, went to our aunt and uncle's for dinner, went to a good friend's bridal shower, made dinner every night that we were home, my in-laws stopped over for dinner....phew!
It's starting to get so much easier to go out with the baby.
She's easy to carry around stores and she's starting to get used to going places! yay!
She loves people and seeing new places.

I think this post is going to set a record for an insane amount of photos.
I took 700 pictures this week (not including Easter).
I may have a problem...

p.s.
Some of the pictures are kind of small...so you can click on them to make them bigger :)

 Watching Baby Einsteins.
Really just listening...the tv is too high for her to see.
 Coconut pudding for Lovely Hubs

Playing on the floor is our favorite thing!

Joshua bought WAY too many jelly beans.

 Her Daddy is her everything.

This week Viv discovered her tongue. She sticks it out constantly!
She has started drooling like a water fountain - Mama can see two little toothies under her gums. Crazy girl has been growing up too fast! Had to break out the bibs! Where has my newborn gone?!
This week she also learned to mimic us...cutest freaking thing ever.

Daddy and Babe hanging out - garbage overflowing...the norm.

Got this dress last summer when I used to work at Macy's - never wore it until today...definitely my new favorite dress! Also, I've never liked my hair...it's always been "too thick, too long, too short, too straight, too frizzy, etc etc..." but now I'm thinking I really love my hair. I don't know if it's the color or because it changed during pregnancy...but I'm kind of digging it...at least for today.

For my friend's bridal shower they decided not to do the traditional "opening gifts" - instead they had each guest bring their gift unwrapped and for everyone to see. I think it was a cute idea...it's so awkward to open gifts in front of people and takes a lot of time. So I just used some vintage fabric and whipped up some felt flowers to make the gifts I got for her a little special.

The favors at the shower we're handmade tea bags filled with different loose leaf teas and tied around a honey stick...so pretty.

Our friends daughter holding Vivi - she is the cutest girl ever! Her mom is actually pregnant with her third daughter due in June! Yay!

The theme of the shower was "April Showers"

 Loving!

The beautiful bride-to-be!
She is such a wonderful girl - we just love her. Her soon-to-be husband is Josh's best friend and we are SO SO excited and thrilled for them! Cannot wait until the wedding in June!

eep!
