Little Last Bits

Getting last little things together.
It seems like the little things to do never stop adding up but it's fun and keeping me busy while I wait.

Meals planned for the next few weeks. Super simple and easy things. ^

 Pages for Vivi's journal ^

printed our some new prints for around the house from Pinterest ^

 Almost 40 week belly!
you can see all my veins and capillaries. It's so yuck.
Also, for the past 3 days my belly, breasts, and feet have been covered in hives.
So red and itchy as you can probably tell but apparently it's common in pregnancy.

Still to do:
dog to the vet
oil change in the car
groceries
paint nails
charge all electronics
laundry
and probably a bunch of other things I'm forgetting.

Nursery: Sneak Peek #2

So, while these two babies that I sit are sleeping I figured I would do a quick nursery post.
I really can't wait to show you the whole thing once it's finished.
We still need curtains, an area rug and some prettier lamps and I think it will be about done.

I got the idea for the fabric embroidery hoops here.
I cut up an old dress that I had for years and used to fill the hoops.
I still need to get a couple white wooden letters for the middle (VIV) :)

I made this mobile out of the leftover scraps from the same dress as I used for the fabric hoops plus some extra ribbon.
I absolutely adore it.

My aunt made V this beautiful blanket!
Every single inch of it is perfection and so intricate - definitely something Viv is going to have forever.

A friend of ours made us this owl family.
Everytime I see the "Josh owl" I have to laugh - it's so adorable.

I made this canvas out of pieces of the dress I used for the mobile and hoops and some scraps of felt.

books!

you might recognize the striped watercolor painting. I just made my own version ;)
the little ballerina shoes are from Vivienne's great grandma and the mini teaset was mine as a little girl.
for the bottles I just wrapped them with some yarn, string, etc.

and last but not least...sweet little girls clothes!
be still my heart.
I'm a sucker for clothes for this girl.

only 6 more weeks!

Nursery: Sneak Peek

Here's a little sneak peek at the nursery so far.
A very early, and probably premature peek at that since I'll probably be moving things around a lot after we receive more stuff.

So far everything has been either gifted to us, thrifted, or was mine when I was young.
I love that her room is going to be filled with gifts from people we love so much and who are going to love her just as much.
She's is already one Blessed little girl.
