Another Milestone | Solid Food

For the past week or so Viv hasn't wanted anything to do with nursing. I literally have to shove my boob in her mouth and hold her head so she doesn't try and get away. Um, this isn't fun. It's getting a little annoying because she starts to nurse, then rips herself off to look around and smile and laugh...milk goes everywhere, it's painful when she pulls herself off and she's not getting as much milk as she should be. She's starting to be way more interested in what's going on around her than to be stuffed away on a breast. Is this normal? Will she grow out of it?
Sooo, tonight we gave her some rice cereal!
Oh. my. gosh.
This girl...she gobbled it down like she was a toddler or something!
The whole time we were feeding her she was giggling and slamming her fists on her changing table in joy.
It was kind of priceless.
Now I'm hoping that she will still nurse at all.
I think from the get-go with Vivienne I knew that nursing wouldn't last as long as I was thinking it would. It's just her personality - she likes to move onto new things...and fast. I'm not saying that it's going to be like this with all my children - it's just going to depend on their personalities and what I feel like will be best for each child.
I hope to get at least 3 or 4 more months of breastfeeding in...crossing my fingers for her cooperation and my milk supply (my supply hasn't ever been all that great...I don't get engorged ever and barely ever feel my letdowns). So, I guess we'll see what happens.
Anyway, now for some cute stuff.

 hahaha that face. ^

I hope you all have a lovely Mother's Day tomorrow! Enjoy!

  1. So adorable!! I'm sure she will grow out of that, if she's hungry then she knows you have her food!
